CertaScan Footprint Product Demo at Harapan Kita Hospital: An Innovative Solution for Newborn Identification

Jakarta, September 24, 2025 – The Sales & Marketing Team held a product demo of CertaScan Footprint at Harapan Kita Hospital, Jakarta. The event featured midwives and nurses from the Observation Clinic and Maternity Room, who enthusiastically participated in the presentation and demonstration of the digital-based infant identification system.

CertaScan Footprint is a newborn identification solution that replaces traditional ink-printing methods. The system uses a FirstFootPrint biometric scanner with a 500 ppi resolution (FBI-certified) to digitally capture infant footprints with high accuracy.

With this technology, medical personnel no longer need to use ink that could potentially contaminate linens or forms, making the process more hygienic, faster, and more efficient.

CertaScan technology has been used in over 150 hospitals in the United States and has partnered with security agencies such as the US Secret Service, FBI, and NIST to ensure the security and accuracy of infant biometric data.

The system also stores security photos of infants' fingers, generating a complete biometric profile from birth that can be integrated into the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR).

Demonstrators welcomed the system because it simplifies the process of recording infant data, particularly in terms of documentation and digital storage. The recordings can be stored directly in the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) and can also be automatically printed onto the hospital's birth certificate form as needed.
